One cubic foot = 7.48 gallons. To cover 72 million square feet to the depth of one foot would mean 72 million cubic feet, or 538,560,000 gallons.

gallons of what and how deep?

1 cubic foot = 7.48 gallons so if you want to make it 1 foot deep it will take 72,000,000 * 7.48 gallons
