I seem to have the hardest time meeting people, and especially developing friendships, and especially friendships w/other girls/women.

first of all do you look approachable.? you have to step out of your comfort zone. strike up a conversation..carry a pleasant smile..do not look like you are competing. .with the other females. there are women in the workplace... at local gyms..talk at the pharmacy or grocery check out counters. usually bars and clubs are not the place..because it is an opposite sex search. there is church... join a voluteer group... or special interest organization. register with area.. republican/democratic women's club. the places are endless... stepping out there and getting the friendship rolling is up to you. good luck.

Most of my girlfriends are from work. I mean figure this, you spend almost 40 hours a week at work with these people - it's the right conditions for getting to know people. If you work with some people who you like, try asking if they want to get a drink or get some dinner after work...join a company type thing like co-ed softball - or create your own. Worked for me!

I had that problem for awhile. Then I got involved with hobbies & clubs and I met lots of great women with similar interests.

Consider also volunteering. I met my best friend at a local therapeutic riding program.
