If you twisted your knee trying to stop your fall, you may have pushed your bones out of alignment.

I have done this myself. A chiropractor was able to realign the bones. The pain is gone now, but it took me 4 weeks. I was told to expect pain for 3-6 weeks.

I hope this helps. Good luck, Honey.

Knees are a complicated joint ... just twisting it can hurt badly. Banging the knee-cap directly is painful. Not to mention cartilage problems, which are nasty.

If your knee is still very painful after a few days, if you haven't already gotten medical attention, then you should get some. Otherwise you may face an ongoing problem, depending on what damage you have may have caused in your fall.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

You haven't given enough information for me to be able to tell, but you should go to a doctor immediately.
It could be serious so you need to get it checked out!
I hope it's OK, but you can never be too safe :-)

HAVE DONE THE SAME THING, ONLY IT WAS MY ANKLE. IT IS A PROCESS INJURY AND HEALING THAT
HAPPENS, LIKE A DELAYED REACTION, BUT IT GIVES US TIME TO GET OUT OF THE SITUATION AND GET TO A PLACE WE CAN HEAL.
