is 5'6 to tall for an 11 year old girl?

ok i am 11 years oled and my height is 5 feet six inches what should i do and am i to tall for my age?

Don't sweat it, girlie! I was 5' 7 when I was 11 and my dad called me 'Stretch' and 'String Bean'. A year later puberty started working it's magic and by 13 the rest of me had caught up to my height and I looked great!

Stand tall and proud and be confident that you are how you are meant to be. Nothing looks worse than a tall girl with stooped shoulders trying to hide her height. There are girls (and guys) your age right now hoping and praying to be taller than theiy are and envy your tall and willowy stature.

P.S. I am middle aged and STILL 5'7 and glad I reached that height and wear high heels too!

Im 11 too and I'm also 5'6! I hated being tall for the longest time because you tower over everyone! Boys, best friends, and sometimes adults! You stand out and many people remember you for just being "tall." I know exactly how you feel! But I've learned a lot from covering up my height and wishing I could shrink. Models are very tall and celebrities have dated and married models! And even if you dont want to be a model, people will catch up with you. Sometimes people bloom later than others, and for you, you might of just had yours! Boys love tall girls and so do photographers. I know how you feel, but you'll catch up!

I'm 5'4 & 12 years old. I'm kinda tall too. Don't worry about it! There are many advantages to being tall such as
1. Legs are longer, so you can run faster
2. Most models are tall
3. Most tall people are skinny so you won't struggle with weight issues.

I'm a man, but I was also 5'6 at 11 years of age. This is very strange to me, as according to the CDC, the average height for 11 years old would be around 56 inches. Are they taking these averages from the 1970s or something?

People might say your tall for your age. And they might say that you look older then 11 years old. But you should take those things as complements. And I know this cause when I was 11 I was the same height as you. Know I'm 5'11 and sorry but you really don't want to know my age. Anyway just do your best to appreciate how you look and how tall you are!

well yeah, you are tall, but there's no such thing as TOO tall.. consider yourself lucky, some people are dying to be your height (like me!).. You should think of it as a plus, you know models are usually very tall..

Plus you are approaching puberty, so when you get your period, your growth will slow down..just as long as you're not overweight and you make sure your meals contain food for all the food groups, you'll be fine..

I was that tall at 10, I stopped growing at 5'8" when I was 13. You aren't too tall, everyone else will catch up in the next 5 years or so.

Technically, 5'6'' is very tall for an 11 years old girl. Women tend to grow up to 5'6'' in their early 20s. If you're 5'6'' now, you'll grow taller. Wow! But that's ok, it's your genetic.
