If not, what is the reason they are taking no action to disarm the militias, any one of which could develop into the next Hams or Hezbollah?

Isn't is amusing how people who have nothing to contribute to this debate other than ad hominem attacks, accuse others of immaturity? Q&A guy, if the task is so impossible, what the hell are we still doing over there taking casualties?

The Coalition must extend the area of control to the neighbouring regions of the Middle East to put an end to the parasitism on high oil prices. It would be most effective with participation of Russia.

Conspiracies are great fun and there have been a million about Iraq and then the supposed oil bourse in Iran that also helped motivate the invasion, etc.

I think the truth is that Iraq is a big country with porous borders and neighbors like Iran which will continue to funnel arms and volunteers to Iraq to keep things destabilized. And since the militias are not a uniformed force that has bases and HQ's you can just disarm them, as if they are sitting in one place ready to be caught. Much like in Lebanon, it will be nearly impossible until the religious leaders decide they want peace- until then the fighters can disappear into the population as needed.

Right now you can be certain that the religious fanatics who wield great power over there are benefiting from the violence by giving them power and money and the opportunity to (via bombers and vigilantes) fight their rivals using religion as the motivator.

Iran has been the greatest lottery win their religious fanatics could ever have hoped for and I'm sure the crazies in Iraq see that and want the same for Iraq.

Hatred often leads to haste. Haste is a mark of unintelligence.

When you can't back up your allegations, you shouldn't waste your time asking about something that doesn't appear to exist...

That has got to be the silliest and least mature question I have read in a long time.
