Absolutely, maybe then less Americans will support the war - when they know their sons and daughters are over there fighting it. If Americans really support the war like they say they do, they should have no problem sending their loved ones to " defend demonocracy" I mean, "democracy".

They should draft first Bush's daughters and then everyone eligible in President Cheney's family (see the recent book,
The Rise and Rise of Richard Cheney).

Everyone should have the chance to get killed to boost the profits of Halliburton, Chevron, Boeing, etc.

No! We learned from the Vietnam War. With the draft that means 1,000s of inexperienced soldiers. That would be kind of stupid! I don't think we will ever have another draft.

Absolutely not. During the last election GWB said that he was the best candidate if you didn't want the draft. The man should keep at least one of his promises.

like all wars the casualties are the ones who benefited the least from society.but gave all.The rich (REPUBLICANS) will not allow a draft to happen and they control both houses of congress and the white house so I don,t see it happening during this administration

Only to clean out the jail houses and get rid of those bad people. Then we can use our tax money on positive things like helping our U.S. citizens. (Schools, Jobs, Medical & housing)

I see no need to reinstate the draft at this time. When we need to, we will certainly know about it.

Hey vf I like your answer, it would solve two things. Soldiers and empty prisons. Of course I wouldn't want to turn my back on any of them.
