Why is that when I wish for things I don't really want I get them?

And, When I get the things really wanted, I should've been careful what I wished for.

Wishes ... sounds more like you just walking through life and forcing your own destiny. Too often we seem to think we know what will make us happy, but our happiness is really just the simple stuff that is along the way to happiness.
