been driving along listening to the radio, when all of a sudden some song comes on and the words hit you like a punch to the gut? Even if you may have heard the song before without it affecting you, but of all of a sudden, it really, really means something to you?

This happens to me all the time!
Anytime I hear a song that was popular during a pretty important time in my life it takes me right back there........instantly!
Sometime in a bad way, and sometimes in a good way.
Smells do that to.
When it's good, I take a second, close my eyes, and take in all in.

Oh yes. Some songs go straight to the heart. You might have heard them before and not paid attention to the lyrics when all of a sudden..BAM...it gets you.

yes some songs really just change my mood dramatically. Ill be all chipper and going along then suddenly BAM I'm feeling lonely and lost. Don't worry, it happens to everyone, and it will continuously happen. Its a natural thing in life. Some things just trigger an emotion on your brain. Don't let it worry you.

Yes I have and of coarse it is not a good experience. I have also heard a song that I hadn't really listened to the words to.

All the time.. but not just the song.. some effects now..
This station has the commerical about cars or/and police, and all of a sudden, I heard big horns, or police siren. i got freaked out!!
I turned the radio loud and thought it was real!

yea its kind of scary when a song u heard but dont pay much attention comes out but then somethig similar from the song happens to u and right after that the song comes out yea especially if its a sad song

I've had that experience many times and often it has ended in a huge crying jag.
I suppose music does what it is intended to do, touch you.

oh yeah,once when i falled in love for the first time,i hear ed a song and i loved it as i heared for the first time!
