however I could tolerate the celebrity Big Brother for the odd half hour here and there.
What ordinary commoners will do for fame is beyond me.

My friend, I shake your hand. You are the first person I've met who hates this vapid, unpleasant group of inedequate, talentless exhibitionists. It is poison, everything that's wrong with British "entertainment" in a nutshell. It's not 'harmless' either. The message it sends out is 'why bother working hard when you can be an ignoramus who can barely spell their own name and still wind up rich.' I loathe it.

I've never watched it... basically because even the commericals are annoying. I'm always confused why so many people talk about it on this webiste. I don't know a single person who watches it, my conclusion is that it must be popular in either canada or england or some other country which shares this forum, because it isn't so popluar where I am in America.

No you are not alone I would hate it if I forced myself to watch it, but as I watched only the first 5 minutes of one episode and saw the type of people in it I decided I would not let them insult my intelligence.
