attacked, no. Seen, yes but it is not publicized, would hurt tourism. I lived in Clearwater for 20 yrs, and occasionally some fishermen I was friends with would see one. They were usually in pretty deep waters, though.

According to the International Shark Attack File ... between 1916 - 2005, there have been Zero Great White Shark attacks in Florida reported (unprovoked).

However, there have been sightings of Carcharodon carcharias in or around Floridian waters.
