If you read Genesis of the Biblical scriptures, you will note that God made the first man and woman; God saw his creations were good and named the man Adam and the woman Eve.

What you're talking about is being intersexed. There are about 1 in 2,000 births where the baby's genitals aren't clearly male or female.

Transgendered is being convinced that you are in the wrong kind of body. If you were born in a male body but consider yourself female, or vice versa, that's transgendered.

You can meet a transgendered person anywhere and not know it, but the link below will give you a place to start.

You might be asking this on the wrong board. You are looking for statistics on people being born with male and female sex organs - in other words: a hermaphrodite.

Why don't you post this question in some place like the biology board and ask for hermaphrodite statistics?

As for the orientation of hermaphrodites - I have no clue. I have no idea what percentage of the population of hermaphrodites are gay, straight, bi or how ever it would be defined.

Good luck.

Are you talking about a hermaphrodite? That's like a rare thing and has nothing to do with being transgendered. Check out these sites for more information, hon.

Your curiousity is a very healthy thing. At least you're trying not to be ignorant. I'm not that knowledgeable about hermaphrodites, but "transgendered" means that a person went from one gender to the other completely.

About one in 80,000 people are born transsexual - meaning the gender to which their brain is set does not match their physical sexual anatomy (or like you put it girls born with male genitalia or vice verse). You probably meet transgendered people every day and don't know it.

I don't really know about how often that happens, but that is among many conditions that get lumped into "intersex". Intersex, in turn, is one of many ways in which someone could be considered transgender. There's plenty of places to explore the concepts of gender online, but I have to question why you want to meet a trans person. No one wants to be tokenized, y'know?

The medical term is called testicular feminization.

I don't know how rare it is, but it is relatively easily treated when the child is born. In all cases, the male parts are removed.

This was the case for Jaime Lee Curtis

If this happened to you or your child don't worry too much about it.

I met a person called Pat who was born hermaphrodite. People told it (it's own designation) to choose one or the other and it said it shouldn't have to. I don't know if they have a club or anything, probably not enough of them.

I saw a video about this in my Womens Studies class. I dont remember the exact statistic, but I think its something like 1 in 1,000 births. A whole lot more than you'd think
