reality t.v rules everything? why do people like it?

i hate reality TV.
i miss music videos.

I can't lie, it is entertaining sometimes... but I miss the days of Golden Girls or Seinfeld. This Reality TV is giving people a really distorted view of life. You are much more likely to find me watching Discovery or Animal Planet than Reality TV.
I think people are so fascinated by it because most of the shows show beautiful people with money doing fascinating things, an escape from our boring normal lives.

The main reason is people see the real side of human nature Real arguments, fights, heart ache, sex you name it and it is connected to the programs. I know people who even sleep with big brother on the TV so they feel they have a companion in the room with them. I suppose in a way the biggest fans feel they have a friend in the TV, in much the same way as some people believe that eastenders is real.
I personally have never really got in to the programs and tend to end up watching sitcoms instead .

There are a few that are good but I don't watch them all the time. After looking at them for a few days I get bored. There's no point to most of them. Just a lot of people acting like complete idiots and showing their true selves to all of America.

Because they script it so that evryone falls in love with it....it's kinda like they're hypnotizing us so we spend a whole bunch of money on the HD TV's so we can watch all this fake reality TV even better...

It's because they are stupid, ignorant, low class and have a very poor grasp of humour. These people have been allowed to multiply to the extent that their poor viewing choices increasingly prevent good quality programming. Time for a cull, I think.

I don't watch many of them, but there are a few I like, like "Survivor", and "The Amazing Race". For people that don't like it, and say they miss this, or that, well....watch your programs. music videos are still on, there loads of regular sit coms, and drams, you just don't have any excuses saying you miss them, they're there.
I watch my few reality programs because I like them. I've traveled to many placers in the world, and enjoy watching the competition.

They're cheap to make, so the management put them on. On the whole people will watch any old rubbish on the telly, so the management get away with it.
