Which clothes colours do you think clash, and match?

I am a bit worried I will make a mistake, so I always stick to obvious combinations, like brown and cream...
So I'd be grateful for any advise, (general style advise too)
in particular, what colour top and jumper should I wear with a new long brown skirt?

Oooo... pink goes well with brown, so does light blue or deep blue, but stay away from navy. If your brown is dark brown, the navy next to it won't look good. You could go with a white top and a jacket that goes with the skirt (a matching brown). Also, a lavender top would look very classy. Pretty much anything that is a lighter accent to the heavy brown color will help to balance and give life to your outfit. The dark blue would be a good idea if you wanted to make a bold impression. Brown with dark blue can be very professional and can command attention and respect when paired with the right shoes, earings, bag, etc...Just stay away from day-glow orange, neon yellow and fuschia anything. I repeat -- Stay Away.

Use a color wheel. If you pick red for a shirt you should wear a green skirt. I say this because if you match the opposite colors on the color wheel, it looks great!
