I am doing it more than 5 times a week, is that bad? I have heard it will increase the risk of prostate cancer and also other cardiovascular diseases!

Please help!

There are no clear studies that prove that masturbation is healthy and keeps the prostate healthy. For every study that says it is, there is one that says it does not. The prostate is not a muscle but a gland, so it cannot get stronger by using it more. Over-use (3 ejaculations or more a week) would cause abbrasions, which can cause it to become congested and inflamed, which can lead to prostate issues.

Frequent masturbation and ejaculation stimulate acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous functions excessively, resulting in the over production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin. Abundant and unusually amount of these hormones and neurotransmitters can cause the brain and adrenal glands to perform excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion and turn the brain and body functions to be extremely sympathetic. In other words, there is a big change of body chemistry when one excessively pratices masturbation.



Note: Masturbation is a healthy sexual behavior. Like other behaviors, when over practiced or addicted it can lead to both psychological and physiological imbalances.

The side effects of such changes to the body include:
Fatigue. Feeling tired all the time
Lower back pain
Stress / Anxiety
Thinning hair / Hair Loss
Soft / Weak Erection
Premature Ejaculation
Eye floaters or fuzzy vision
Groin / Testicular Pain
Pain or cramp in the pelvic cavity or/and tail bone

If above symptoms are experienced, you need to restore the balance of brain's acetylcholine / parasympathetic ratio, reduces the level of sex hormones in the body, and sedates sympathetic nervous function, or the symptoms would become worse.

Here are steps you can take on top of reducing masturbation frequency:

1. Reduce the intake of hormone-polluted beef and dairy products. Red meat traps too much hormone-polluted blood. Instead, bring more seafood and poultry into your diet.

2. Eat more seeds, nuts, and soybeans, which contain L-arginine (the natural growth-hormone agents) and Isoflavones (the plant estrogen for anti-cancers and tumor hormones and the liver function enhancers), to help cool down the prostate. Shrinking your prostate will have wonderful effects on your body and can aid in stopping a hair loss pattern.

3. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits for more anti-cancerous and tumor plant hormones and anti-oxidants/vitamins/minerals. You can even try taking a multi-vitamin/mineral to get the antioxidant group into your dietary habits. Notable vitamins are C, E, A, and notable herbs that promote blood circulation are ginseng and ginkgo biloba.

4. Participate in more outdoor activities to communicate with nature and exercise more to consume testosterone in the muscles of the body, rather than burn it into DHT. Try jogging or even taking a brisk walk. Any kind of physical activity is much better for your body than sitting around in front of a TV, especially if you don’t normally move around much.

Well, your urge for masturbating is natural, every girl and boy wants to masturbate, it's just the way it is -I did when I was a girl, and I loved it. You CAN masturbate while you are on your period if it's light, because it's somewhat messy, but you'd have to basically throw away the object you used, because you would be comming and bleeding a little, and also during your period -masturbation can hurt a little. This is what I have to say, I doubt you'd want to dirty your teddy, so just hold on to the urge, or you could try double penetration with a couple of crayola markers or something, even the most picky masturbating girl would come after it.

Just the opposite. The more you masturbate and ejaculate the less chance you will have of prostate cancer. Do it as much as you feel the need. Some teen boys do it 2 or 3 times a day. 5 times a week is the occurance schedule of a late teen or a man in the early twenties. Do not worry.

No that is a fallacy. Actually masturbation is natural to an extent... 5 times a week is fine (once a day). If you dont masturbate, your body will find other ways to release the semen (i.e. wet dreams)... if you feel guilty at all masturbating, go out and get laid, maybe it would be less stressful for you to think about.

Increase the rist of prostate cancer and cardiovascular diseases!!!!!???? where did you ever hear that..if anything it will have the opposite effect and be good for you.....No you're not masturbating too much...everyone does it...enjoy...you can't do it too much.
Trust me lignebur72 or whatever is on a different planet...masturbation is good for you.

I guess u're hearing the urban legend, masturbate are perfect healthy thing to do. there is a man who've been masturbate till he's 90 and he's still fine, same with woman who masturbate (in another word, fingering) provide very healthy pleasant active.

Hell no..........as a matter of fact......This morning me and my girl masterbated together.......had sex.....then alone in the shower...........had sex again..........went to the gym....beatmymeat again.......went home after work......beatmymeat......then had sex with my girl.....and i am supper healthy. Just dont mess up your sex drive do it with a lady partner, and dont forget nothing can replace the joys of actual sex
