There are a few different things that can cause your problem. First and formost, I'd advise you have it seen by a professional.
But as far as for what could cause your problem:
-Bad Shift Solenoid
-Sticking Shift valve (only when you have internal problems.)
-Worn Seals (usually only on high milage vehicles)
-Worn out High Clutches ( most likely your problem)
Now if you want to save yourself some money, here's some tips to get you started.
First, If you don't mind spending about $50.00. You can run it by a shop and have the transmission control module scanned for codes. This will eliminate electronics. If no codes are found, jack your car up, crawl under and drop the transmission pan. Do not drain all the fluid out of the pan, leave a small amount at the bottom ensuring that what ever debre that is in it doesn't get poured out. take your finger and run it through the pan. If you find black material- your clutches are shot. If you find metal in it- well this just got expensive. If you find plastic in it- A thrust washer has melted and is allowing to much clearence.
But even before you do all this, firstly I'd check fluid, not to see if it's full or not ( just taking for granted that you've already done that.) Check and see what color it is and how bad it smells. the more black it looks and the funker it smell, the more likely you are to have an internal problem.
Hope this helps ya.
