My concentration wavers greatly at the study of deep space, stars, and the obvious unknowns. We still know so little about our own world: gravity, energy, etc; that the concepts presented in that field are setting entire pyramids of theories on things that down to our level, on earth, are STILL theories.

In other words, I have a hard time grasping space like educated guesses, that are not immediatly revelant to the earth; because of their lack of proof (as their proof is based on theories that alas, are still theories.)

While I understand them I still have problems getting my arms around the distances we talk about in intergalactic space. Just a light year is mind boggling for me but when we start talking about 1/2 billion of them it all becomes a big gray blur. The only thing the differences are good for for me is to keep objects at relative distances, not absolute distances.

Just life in general. How we go from an egg and sperm, to fetus, to babies, to teenagers, adults, then elderly. It just blows my mind! How we're born...then die. It's such an awesome process!
