Money is perhaps best seen as one route to power. It also depends on how well socially connected the people with money are, how they weild their power and so on. Many rich people actually want to be left alone, believe it or not, but those who want to "play the game" - the Bransons and Bushes of this world weild their money to aggrandise themselves and further their own interests no matter who they walk over in the process. The old rich, 'old money' used to believe the old principle of 'noblesse oblige' - the rich have responsibility for the poor - the nouveau riche have no such pretensions. In the final analysis, though, when the masses rise up, there's little the rich can do. The trick is to keep the poor just satisfied or scared enough to stop that happening.

Money is not power, but it can bring you power if you have enough of it in your bank account. The world is full of people who are powerful, yet are not billionaires. Consider the position of a king who takes the advice of his most trusted courtier on issues of state and politics. There are similar situations happening everyday in the modern world. How long will the man behind the king stay poor? Not long if he leverages his position wisely.
Also, power can bring you money. These two things seem to always follow each other. Anyone with a substantial amount of power is going to profit from that power, and anyone who accumulates wealth is obviously going to be able to influence alot of people with monetary rewards and incentives.

No. Money is not power. It's how you use it. Look at Bill Gates and his partner. Look at a spend-er and an investor.

If you think about it, power and money cannot go without one another. You need money to show you the connections, then you'll use your power to embrace those connections. Or you'll need your power to convince others about your ability, but people would want something in exchange, and that something cannot be mere words or thought.

If you talk about the power to influence people.. maybe. Talk to the inspirational speakers or just listen to them. They have the power to influence your thought, but would their images stay on your mind forever? That depends.

Yes to the extent that

"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes her laws."
Meyer Rothschild

If you really want to understand the implication of this statement read the following BRILLIANT story:

If you think for one moment that Bush is in control, or power, you are SO wrong.

the international bankers create and therefore own ALL the money, All money is created by being leant inot circulation, the interest owed on this credit is never leant into circulation, so it can never be fully repaid. They can pump money into circulation to create an economic boom, or pull it out of circulation to create a recession or depression at will. They don't care, The politicians will get the blame.

Trump is certainly more powerful than the man sleeping on the bus stop bench, of course.

There are certain writers, actors, artists and people of other talents who at many times have little or no money - yet, when luck strikes, they become quite powerful.

(To the person who said, "Ask the Jews"): Many Jewish people (I am not Jewish) are not at all wealthy. I have known some orthodox and other Jewish families who have little.

Good Q GB. If it leads to corruption then who is it that takes you down? They have true power, and they don't make much believe me. How about being the President? Comparatively they don't make that much but have a lot of power.
