ask the petstore. I think you can, but if you see her/him struggling. return it or purchase a bigger one.(I have 3 hamster!) and a rabbit .:)

You can also just buy a chinchilla ball specifically made for chinchillas... But I guess a giant hamster ball would be okay.

yes, one of the really big one's though, like for a guinea pig. we have one for our chins.
we have 3 chinchillas, and the big male loves to run around in his.

get them a wheel..so they can run!

oh please dont, lots of pets have overheated from beingin them, even if they have vents. Your chinnie would much rather like a wheel!
