Whatever is affecting me directly at that moment. Which is probably the same for alot of other people in this world. Most of us are self centered, but we all do think about and consider what is just outside of our world, the worlds of less fortunate people, or the oppression of free speach, democratic rights, fundamental freedoms. We take these all for granted but if they were taken away from me i would become very passionate about it. Which is the same for alot of things. If my computer was taken away from me i would be very passionate about getting it back, along with other possessions, relationships, thoughts, rights. Absence makes the heart grow fonder-and not just of people.

Helping current situation in the world in any way possible. Not that the children aren't important, but people seem to keep putting all of their hope in the next generation instead of trying to help the current one. Then those children will grow up and do the same thing, and nothing will ever be accomplished.

I used to be passionate about teaching and learning, libraries, etc. but after getting a new boss, I am passionate only about the thought of retirement.

I would give anything to go to Africa to work with underpriveleged peoples, refugees, or those living with AIDS. Unfortunately I can't fathom spending time away from my family for the two years required of those who join the Peace Corps, and all the other organizations charge money to come help. I can't afford it.

while Jess S has a good answer, she could also consider helping underprivledged children right in her own town, that way a person could be near their family....join big sisters or big brothers, help out the make a wish foundation, become a foster parent... volunteer at local childrens cancer treatment center.....there is so much we can do and needs to be done right here in our own country....dont let family commitments keep you from helping.........get them involved, also.....
