Why do people being gay is wrong?

Im not gay and I know that the Bible says not to be gay, but really, it's their lives and we have no right to be butting into them like we are. It's wrong to judge people before we even know them. They are people just like us. Sure they may like their own gender, but that's their buissness. Not ours.

Just because you don't agree with homosexuality doesn't mean you are judging them. There are some homosexuals that are good people, but that doesn't make what they are doing any less wrong. Being gay is a sin just like fornication, stealing, lying, etc. However, most people recognize that these things are wrong and make some attempt not to do them. The problem with homosexuality is that people want to make it seem like it's not wrong. So how you can you ever repent from something that you don't think is wrong? I dont judge people, but I also didn't make the rules. God did, so maybe you should ask Him :) However, this answer is only going to be relevant to those who believe in God and fully accept the bible as His instructions for humans. People believe that being gay is wrong because it doesn't lend to procreation which they feel is the reason that people were put on the planet. Also they feel that it causes the spread of disease as HIV in the 1980s was rampent in the gay community. Some people believe that only a man and a woman are meant to be together. Some people believe its just a phase. People believe what they want , its not my place to change them . If they are gay then they are , and if they aren't that is fine too. Live and let live.

It's not wrong exactly -- it's queer.

You got to admit it's queer. The world is full of beautiful women, there is nothing more beautiful in all the world than a beautiful woman. I knew even as a kid that woman are beautiful. They are cool, they are nice. If you are of the normal male persuasion you can never love anything like you can love a woman.
However the gays pass all that up and pick men. Do I have to tell you how dumb that is? It's so dumb it's queer.

people think is is wrong because they are misinformed or uninformed. They say it is not natural because they are unaware of the fairly common occurance of homosexuality in the animal kingdom. just ask anyone who works with horses... They say it is an unhealthy lifestyle because they don't stop to think about all the STD's straight people have. Unprotected sex with men spreads disease, no matter whether it is with a woman or another man. They say it is wrong because they think have this incorrect impression that homosexuals are all promiscuous and incapable of forming commited relationships. Also, most people don't think lesbianism is really wrong; they just don't like gay men and attatch lesbians almost as an afterthought. This is because of the immense pressure that men are under in our society to act macho and protect male privalage. Lesbians do not defile their idea of male superiority (at least they don't think it does) but to see a man give up his "superior" role to another man offends them. Notice that people care a whole lot more about gay bottoms than gay tops. No one ever insults someone by calling him gay top.

and thanks, shemus would. you just described why all women should be lesbians. you forgot to add the almost 0% rate of STD transmission. i think lesbian's are indeed God's chosen people.

If you've been brainwashed to believe everything that you were taught in sunday school, without questioning it, then you will believe being gay is a bad thing. But if you have one shred of common sense, and are capable of questioning things, then you will have the opportunity to learn that gay people are just part of humanity. We just aren't breeders. LOL

the bible is just a book to me but i believe in god i dont care what these ppl teaches u in church they are just as bad as us. the bible wasnt even in english it was in some other language translated to english and a lot of others language so who really knows the truth? gay is not against gods will gay ppl are not going to hell god created everybody in different forms. gay ppl did not choose to be gay. put it this way there are ppl who have funny looking faces but did they choose to have them?

let's just say everyone has an opinion just like everyone has an asshole. we are not here to judge that is gods job. if you are gay and happy great. if you know someone who is gay and treat them no different that a non-gay person great. try not to worrie about everyone else
