The plot is so smart with many twists and turns. Jake Gyllenhaal did and amazing job as well.

An amazing, amazing film that was roundly ignored by American audiences (and marketed by Big Hollywood as a teenage 'slasher' film to try to generate interest).
It wasn't until the movie broke in England that it started to get the attention it deserves and made its way back to America via word-of-mouth.
This is one of those very rare films one can watch again and again and see and/or grasp something new each time. Even the official website is amazing (but don't attempt to even get in if your IQ is under 135). http://www.donniedarko.com/
There are even poor, smitten buggers out there searching for a copy of "The Philosophy of Time Travel". LOL!

OMG I loved it. Me and my husband watch it all the time. The special edition dvd is great also. It really makes you think about stuff. If you love that you should read that book that they talk about in it, about time travel, sorry I dont remember what it was called, but I read it and it was interesting. and another movie you might like would be "the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind". I liked that one to, but thats me.

I agree with you...I do prefer the Special Edition version of the film that was released on DVD a little while ago...it added a lot of great stuff.

I do. Particularly after reading the "Many Worlds Interpretation" of quantum physics, the movie takes on a whole new sense.

Especially the special edition which has more stuff on it explaining what the heck is going on plus it has different music, plus the set has the original theatrical version with the original music, so you get both.

loved it, one of my fav movies. I think that all the character in that move are awesome and all have their own distinctiveness. I love the crazy old lady the best, always looking for some letter. lol :)
