Imagine him having to take care of all the kids he's had in 900+ years.

The "sin" effect caused humans to gradually lose their lifespan. That's why people in the beginning lived longer than those towards the time of Moses.

It's also believed by some scientists that the atmosphere was alot thicker and oxygen ratio was much higher than today, which could have translated into longer life spans.

In other words, in the early era of humans, the Earth actually had the correct balances of nature -- that helped to sustain long life -- and prevented decay in living creatures.

When sin was introduced into the world, this "perfect balance" was lifted, and it gradually subsided. God declared that the age limit would be around 125 years old in the time of Moses.

Sin was like a virus that caused this decaying to occur.

Son of Enoch and Father of Lamech he lived for 969 years he is supposed to have lived the longest of all humanity. (although that title probably should go to Enoch since it is surmised that he has NEVER DIED being taken directly to God while still alive) BTW he was Noahs Grandfather so If the Flood hadn't happened he might have lived longer because he died in the Flood.

When we die and go to heaven there will be no time,as we know on earth so 900 and odd years is no time at all. You only think as your mind allows, there is much much more that we can never start to understand, such as time eg age.
