I have to carry a lot of weird stuff from time to time: full-sized easels, and/or suits of armor and/or a floor harp, among other things. This crap won't fit in a Porsche no matter how carefully I pack.

So, what's a cool car that is also practical? Not a truck; I would never drive my harp or other valuable or fragile things around in the open.

Thanks for you help & suggestions!

Maybe one of those weird BMW Z3 Coupes. Sure, it looks kind of like the second coming of the AMC Gremlin, but it performs pretty well and should be able to carry a lot of stuff.

Other possible choices:

Audi A4 Avant
Subaru WRX wagon
GMC Typhoon
Dodge Magnum
Pontiac Vibe
Mazda 5
Chrysler PT Cruiser

Low budget choices:

Volvo 240 wagon
VW Bus

Some of these may have more of a cult classic sort of appeal than mainstream cool. Most people wouldn't even recognize a GMC Typhoon, for example.

I have a Ford F250 long whell base and it has a very nice covered bed that will hold everything you have to put in it and a rear seat for passengers. Holds six adults comfortably....I buy a new one at 250,000. They go and go....
