replace microphone in treo 650?

Question

I need to know how to replace the microphone and earpiece (not speaker phone speaker) on my Treo 650 (cingular). I have ordered and received the earpiece. I have also watched a video that shows how to take my unit apart. Anyone done this before?

i wouldnt suggest taking it apart if you havent done it before, if you still have the warranty, it will most likely void, and you would need some knowledge on how to do something like that.

i would strongly reccomend sending it to treo or a authorized service center, or if you dont want to have to pay, at least find someone(friend, relative, nerd on the street) that would have some more experience with something like that

I found a website that walks you step by step (with pictures on how to take the TREO apart. I did it to add a lanyard. It was a little scary to do, but I did it and it worked out great. Here are the links
