I want my lip and eyebrow pierced for my birthday. I'll be 16 and I no longer need my parents consent. My mom said yes to the lip ring but if i get both im out of the house. Is there any way to show her its not a bad thing? or to kind of make her see it my way??

i think you should sit down with her and talk to her... make sure you do some reseach before hand on them so u look clued up and mature... you should tell her that its you way of expressing yourself and that there is nothing wrong or bad about body piercing... maybe you could get one done as a compromise and then say to her if it heals and you have no problems then you will think about gettin the other done... just dont loose your temper and try and approach it as calmly and maturely as possible... my mum doesnt like my piercings but she respects my choices now... its all about trying to show them it isnt goin to change the person inside... good luck

I don't know what state you live in but here in California you have to be 18 to get anything pierced. Personally I think that is a good age to get those type of piercings anyway.

You are lucky she consented to the lip piercing so be content with that. Show more maturity and mabye she will come around but I suggest you don't push it!

If you want her to respect you, you need to respect her in return. I feel that allowing you have have your lips pierced is already a compromise for her. Listen to her, and ask for the eye brow piercing for your next birthday.

Wait til you're a little older...My mom didn't like piercings at all. When I moved out I got my belly...3 years later I got my eyebrow, my labret, and my tongue...she's better about it now cause I'm on my own.
