Your boss has a problem with your lateness every day because you are paid to be at work at a certain time. I'm surprised that you have not yet been fired with a track record like the one you have described. Your students' age doesn't matter; it's the fact that your tardiness is wasting an hour of everyone's time that annoys your boss and ultimately may cost you your job.

Oh my, you feel that it is okay to leave those kids unattended, I'm glad you are not my children's teacher. You job is to teach the kids. You are part of the reason we have this NO Child Left Behind Act. i wish I know what school you worked at you won't have to arrive fashionably late, because I would have your job.

You're kidding, right? You think it's OK to leave a room full of 8-year-olds without parental supervision?!?!!?!?!?!!! THAT"S WHAT YOU GET PAID FOR. Besides, there is no such thing as showing up "fashionably" late for work. The boss tells you what time to show up and it's your responsibility to make sure you're there on time. You're obviously too self-important to ever be an effective teacher or care-giver, so do everyone a favor and quit.

I would have a problem with it too. You can't leave children unattended. If you continue to do it, I'm guessing at some point you are going to get fired.

Your reasoning seems sound. Your boss clearly has no idea about how the fashionable set works. I'm sure your school is filled with his sort.

well teacher supposed to set a good standard for their students. 3rd grade is not highschool kids. Still young. If you're late every day, it shows that you're not dicipline enough to care. So therefor your student wont care. Why should they care if their teacher doesnt care.

Bosses get really touchy about things like paying you to work and you not being there. Many of them actually consider it a firable offense if you make a habit of it.

You know why. Fashionably late isn't fashionable, it's lazy. And kids need to be watched.
