Uh, I watched two of 3 births directly. The other I took a less direct view. I have a very weak stomach, but the sight of a little baby makes it OK. I really recommend watching the first one. It will really change your perspective.

Hi Little C:
I watched my son being born, and had some of the same fears. You will find out that you are going to be so enthralled in what's happening and how cool humane life can be, just the spectacle of the whole thing will keep your mind off of anything that may make you pass out. That was 22 years ago, his birthday happens to be today, and I still remember it as one of the moments in my life that i felt so alive and energized that I will never forget the feeling. Today he is a great guy, that will be your bonus of the future.

i pass out everytime i get my blood drawn but i did fine with the birth of my son last october.....labor isnt really all that bad...it hurts but not as much as those programs make it sound (although i did get an epidural) but anyways...i watched the birth in a mirror so i could see what was going on and it helped alot...i could see what was going on so i knew how much i was progressing....i just wanted to get the baby out...i wasnt worried about what it was looking like....but if you have that much of a problm then you shouldnt watch....face the opposite direction when shes giving birth

How can you be a woman and want to faint at the sight of blood? How do you handle your periods? You will be fine, don't worry.

well...if u cant watch blood on TV. i wouldn't be a choice for u to be in the delivery room.....u can always come after wards, when the baby is cleaned up a bit.

Now THIS one I can do something with. Just don't look until they've cleaned the baby off. Congratulations.

If you think you will not be able to handle it, then stay from the end of the table....lol. Hold your partners hand and be calming and reassuring.

nope, you don't have to worry about a thing, if he's afraid of blood, then yes. but you won't see ANYTHING! you can't see down there, and even if you have a c-section, they don't let you watch.
