Use a soft brush and white toothpaste to polish your silver necklace. Rinse and dry.

Or, put a denture tablet in a small container of water and soak your necklace to clean it.

Vinegar and salt will clean off the green patina that sometimes gets on jewelry.

Another method, cover the bottom of a baking pan with aluminum foil. Sprinkle in 2 Tbsp. baking soda and pour boiling water over this. Mix. Lay your silver in the pan and it cleans almost magically right before your eyes. Do not use this method for jewelry containing any kind of glue.

Silver cleaner can be bought at most jewelry stores. This should get rid of that tarnish.
