Have you ever seen an opossum hang by its tail?

You will never see an Opossum hanging by it's tale. That is an old wives tail. While they do have a prehensile tail, and can often be found in trees, they only use their tail to help stabalize them when walking branches or walls. They do not hang by them.

Yes they do. I once had the experience of having a baby opossum curl his tail around my finger!
