I live at 7000 feet in the Rocky Mountains of the USA. Part of why I moved here is because I like cold weather better than hot. I do enjoy the short summer times we have here, but I like the cold best.

Personally I love warm, humid weather. You always have a/c if you get too warm and it feels good, as long as it's not really hot. 83 degrees with 70% humidity is perfect. I wish I had a home down under for when it's winter up here in Texas (although the winters are about as mild as you can get in the 48).

I grew up with the freezing cold winters of Canada, and now live with the blazing summers of the American desert southwest. All in all, I prefer the heat over the cold. It's really just opposite extremes. In Canada we'd stay indoors (mostly) for the winter and down here we stay indoors in the summer.

Perhaps what tips the scale for me is the effect of hot temperatures on female fashion. :)

i prefer hot weather, we dont usually have a great deal of it in northern minnesota, summer is way too short, winter is forever and we get temps that dip below the 30 below zero mark

I knew it... should have moved to Sydney. It's reasonable here in Chicago today, though (for a change).
