NO!

"The heart may compensate for this by a slight change in its beating rate, but the heart and its electrical activity should not stop during a sneeze," says Dr. Danner.

During the sixth century, it was customary to congratulate people who sneezed because they were expelling evil from their bodies. Later, when a great plague took hold of Europe, and people began sneezing violently, the Pope passed a law. Since sneezing meant that the person was going to die of plague, people were required to bless the sneezer.

I'm pretty sure it stops beating, or skips a beat in other words. I have terrible alergies and i sneeze quite often too, and if you put your hand on your heart when you sneeze, you might feel it tug, or skip a beat. You would not be dead because it takes longer than a half a second for you to die, its like when your holding your breath. You aren't breathing, yet your heart is still going, as you hold your breath longer, the beats start to slow down. Therefore, no you wouldn't die, and yes, it does stop or skip a beat.

Your heart does not stop when you sneeze, and with great effort you could probably keep your eyes open during a sneeze. While the tradition of saying "Bless you" or "Gesundheit" (meaning "health" in German), or some variation on this theme, apparently originated from superstitions that sneezing was a sign of approaching danger or even death, most people who sneeze have an excellent prognosis!

No it does not stop. However, it was once believed that it did, and this is sometimes believed to be the reason that people say "Bless You" after a sneeze. Another explanation for why people say bless you is because it was once believed that a sneeze was the eradication of an evil spirit from one's body, so one would be blessed quickly to prevent the re-entry of the spirit.

Who told you that? Why that little stinker. Probably the same type of person that will tell you your face will get stuck that way if you keep making faces.

I've got one for you. Did you know you only have to stop at stop signs that don't have a white outline?

it does not. It takes some very strong reason for the heart to miss a beat.
