I have downloaded it and it works well I can phone UK landlines for free which is great but I wasn't given a VOIP-IN phone number. Are there any other voipcheap users out there who have managed to get a phone number for incoming calls? www.voipcheap.co.uk is the website i downloaded it from.

There are a number of companies in the UK offering VOIP services. I have recently finished working for one of them which I won't mention here. It obviously costs but you use it intstead of a normal phone line so not really a problem!

VOIP is overkill for you. VOIP is most effective realistic so as to add strains (now not extension of present strains, as you suggest), exchange conventional strains entering your premises, or to make use of organization VOIP telephones. The easiest you'll do is solely get a cordless mobilephone set, most likely a DECT one. Next up could be a wi-fi mobilephone jack extender. You plug the "base" right into a energy receptacle, and a mobilephone receptacle. The "extension" unit you plug right into a energy receptaclt, and also you plug a mobilephone into that. Or simply cord an extension jack in which you wish to have it. Yes, you would get anything like MagicJack. and ahead your constant house mobilephone to it.
