It completely a matter of preference and according to what type of style of music you play..the gauge of the strings and usage they'll get. Try www.stringsdirect.com as they have a wide selection of strings with customer ratings/ reviews on them. I use Rotosound because I string bend alot..and they don,t break! For tone..go for the DAddario range.

For me its Elixir, they're coated with some really thin plastic called nanoweb, it might seem wierd but its a great idea.
I've had them on my guitar for almost 2 months, and they still sound great. The nanowebbing also makes fretting easier.

If you cant afford Gibson superwound, go for rotosound - they hold the tone and seem to last longer than most - and my local supplier sells them at 3 sets for a tenner!!

i would recommend clear tone they are very good and they last a long time
