DS Lite has so many more fun games and the touch screen. I have both and the PSP has better graphics and you can listen to music but overall the DS Lite beats the PSP hands down for overall greatness.
PSP- can watch movies, has about 6 really good games (to me personal opinion)
DS LITE- smaller screen- 30 or so wonderful games, no music no video (to speak of).
Also the DS lite lets you download games from others. PSP you have to have 2 copies of the game to play with a freind
If ya wanna game get a DS, if ya wanna watch a movie and pay $20 for a DVD in PSP format you will only watch a couple of times get a PSP. Best games, Lumines, Burnout, Lemmings, ask me if ya want more

PSP definately. not just because the graphics are superior or because i'd rather play more adult games that mario, but because the PSP has tons more features apart from just playing games...(movies, web browser, music, photos, etc...)
