Hello people. Does anyone know how I can transfer video footage from numerous video tapes onto my computer at home. Will I need to buy a new Video Player especially for this task? or will I have to buy a new card to add onto my computer box which allows data from the video via a scart lead??

Can anyone help me out ??? Thanks

They make an interface that you can plug your VCR into then it will connect to your PC via USB or firewire. It should also come with a software to assist in this task.

You are looking for a video capture device. The ATI TV tuners support video capture and they support the highest framerates.

Then you would need to use a program like windows media encoder to compress the incoming stream into a AVI.

You need software regarding video edit to work it out.
If you could connect your video player using USB to your computer, much easier.
