I think the best dating website is match.com. It's limited to what u do for free but if u like it, you can get a membership and it's not very expensive. That's where my mom met her boyfriend and to her it was a match made in heaven.

If you're UK based, try Lycos.co.uk. Lots of great features and no stupid things like 'can't reply to emails' if you don't subscribe. Me and my fiancé both thought it was the mutts nuts (well, we would, we 'met' there)
