Southwest Phoenix is a very bad area of town! You are not going to find anything 4 or 5 star there! The better area for nice dining is in the Northeast area of the valley. In the area you are talking about, probably the best dining you will find will be over by Desert Sky Pavilion Mall at 75th ave and Thomas. Try some of the steak houses there like Texas Roadhouse, or Red Lobster. Sorry, but you ar ein a bad area of the valley. There is an oriental restaurant at 43rd avenue and Northern it is called something like Lei Lei (anyway it is two three letter words that start with an L). Otherwise you need to head to the Tapatio at squaw peak or other restaurants in that area.

If you like steak - downtown Phoenix has Durants. A bit pricey, but a great place for an occassional meal.
