I believe it is "Curtain", but I don't know how he dies. Here's some information:

The last novel with Hercule Poirot is Curtain, but I can't remember how he dies.

Its 'Curtain', he kills a murderer who would have gone free. I'm not sure how he dies, whether of old age or suicide(because he commited a crime).

I believe he committed suicide after having killed a murderer who went unpunished.
