I borrowed about $10,000 to someone I kind of knew to start up a business and after about six months the business was closed and my monthly payments stopped coming also. After not being able to track him down I went to small claims court and received a judgement for the maximum amount allowed in South Dakota but wasn't able to track him down for about six months, until someone tipped me off that he had moved to North Dakota which causes other complications. Anyone have any advice - suggestions?

I don"t know the process to do this for N. Dakota, but what you need to do is domesticate the judgement in N. Dakota.

It is too bad you gave your trust on a loser. If $10,000 is important to you, it would be to me, do not allow your self to be victimized. Hire a collection agency.
