You could still be pregnant, because some women bleed during their pregnancies. But, you also could be perfectly normal and have missed a period due to stress or nutritional imbalance. The best thing to do, in any case, is to see your OBGYN and find out what exactly is going on. You could make an appointment right now, so there's no need to wait.

The answers some will leave to get 2 points!

Okay, your period cycle is usally 28 days. That does not mean that you will only have one period every month. Because some months are 30 days and some are 31. So... some months you may have 2 period in one month, depending on when your period falls. (ex: at the first or last of each month).

You may want to be checked out by your OBGYN, since your period was 3 days late and very light. This could mean that you are spotting from implatation of the egg in the uterus. However, today is the 3rd, and you still have 3-7 days before your period is over. Try taking a home pregnancy test, if it positive, then see your Dr. If negative, wait for your period agian next month.

Sounds to me that you are not pregnant. But I suggest you take precautions in case you are.

Was the first day of your last period on July 10th? If so, and you are pregnant, then Your baby will be born on or around Monday, April 16, 2007.

You are 3 weeks pregnant.

It is possiable to still have some signs of a period shortly after conception, and still be pregnet. For piece of mind I would go out and buy a home test kit from most any grocery/drug store. These are inexpensive and over 99% accurate if used correctly. If it comes out positive then it would be time to see a doctor.

There are also some clinics which will do free testing for you (see your yellow pages), but the home test is much more confidential, private, and less stressful.

Good luck

PS. Other factors can cause your period to be late (or even missed all together. Some of these factors can include, but arent limited to: Stress, moving, extreme weather, malnutrition, sickness, etc.

I know it may be difficult....but I would go out and get a pregnancy test and see...if you're not satisfied with those tests...then i would go to the doctor just to be sure. They usually want you to be two weeks late if you've missed your period to go to the doctor...but in this case trust your instincts....you know your body...and it's better to be safe than sorry if you're concerned.

My husband and I had trouble conceiving for two and a half years...so I know what it's like to take a home pregnancy test and have it be negative.

Also, if you are trying to get pregnant, go to a specialist...i put this off for TOO LONG! All it took for me was to get a hysterogram...my specialist told me that is all most women need to get pregnant because it opens up the fallopian tubes.

Could be alot of different things, maybe you are just stressed out, lots of reasonsto have missed a period.
Usually, not 100% of the time, if you have a period it means u r not pregnant. So anyway, the dollar store sells preg tests, if u r worried and do not want to spend that much, buy 1 there. if you are really worried about it, go to the dr. but from a health care professional's stand point NO u r not pregnant. sorry

First, unprotected sex in 2006 are you KIDDING ME? Check out planned parenthood, they will keep it on the DL. Put your mind at ease, then for goodness sake no unprotected sex.

Ok, so stress is a huge factor so is not taking the pill on time all the time. You are young so your cycle has not found its rhythm yet. Take time to learn your body so you know when it is really acting up or just taking a break.

Pregnancy though is the last thing you need to worry about. HPV, HSV I & II which there is no cure for (Herpes) and AIDS are all things that are much more important to be concerned with. And BTW, 20% of the population is infeccted with Herpes and most do not know.

Just wait..its only august 3rd. Dont panic and wait until your light period goes away then make an appt with ur doctor and get a test done. And if your not ready for a child just be safer and smarter. You have to learn from your experiences dont wait to have a child and then HAVE to learn.

its possible you are pregnant. i would just relax and stop stressing about it. that wil make your period late as well. i would wait at least a couple weeks before going to the doctor and shelling out the big bucks for a test. there is still a chance that your menstrual cycle is just screwed up right now and your stress is adding to it.

What you're talking about sounds to me like an irregular period. Irregular periods aren’t unusual – they affect about 30% of women in their reproductive years. An irregular period is any type of bleeding that is abnormal when compared to your usual menstrual cycle. This can include a late period, an early period or bleeding between periods. It can also appear as particularly heavy bleeding (menorrhagia) or scanty bleeding. Many women also experience irregular periods in the form of a missed period, continuous periods, or periods that occur twice in one cycle.

Irregular menstrual periods are usually the result of hormonal signals that have been thrown out of sync. In order to produce a period, your body makes hormones, like estrogen and progesterone. These hormones are kept in the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and ovaries inside your body. In order to trigger ovulation and menstruation, these parts of the body need to send signals to one another. Sometimes, these signals get crossed or skipped, causing irregular periods.

If you're really worried, go see a doctor.

It is not uncommon to miss your cycle for a month or to even have a lighter than normal one. But the best thing to do is to go to a local planned parenthood location and have them do a test for you. Or go to your GP and have him take some test for you. Alot of things can affect your cycle things such as stress so play it safe and see your doctor.
