The pulley turns freely around the compressor, but wont engage. Clutch problem or something. I know it's charged and not leaking. Any suggestions ? 1995 Volvo 960

a/c fuse? climate controller? relay? try running a 12volt hot wire to the a/c compressor see if it engages

It's either the clutch itself or a cycling switch.

Sounds like the system could be empty.... Take it to a Volvo DEALER !!!!!!!. relay?

I have the radiator and catalytic converter replaced. I think that is the problem.??maybe???
