I read Carol Burnetts and Mickey Rooneys, and both were really interesting, and sometimes funny. It's interesting reading about how a star started out. Also, reading about people who have given their lives serving others is very interesting. Especially the story about Jim Elliott, who was killed by headhunters back in the 50's. Also, The Hiding Place, by Corrie ten Boom is very graphic, but true. Though it's not truly an autobiography, it tells of a woman & her family, who helped hide Jews during the Holocaust, and they were arrested and put in a concentration camp too. Go to your local library and see what appeals to you. <*)))><

This is an excellent book. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
"Autobiography of a Face" by Grealy, Lucy
The author of this honest account underwent five years of treatment for a cancer that left her face disfigured. It took more than 30 reconstructive procedures before she could come to terms with her appearance. At a time when supermodels have become role models and many women seek physical perfection at any cost, Grealy's poignant memoir lends gravity and perspective to the concept of beauty in America.

Ive been trying to get a hold of Cybil Shepard's autobiography, it sounds so interesting she tells all on everybody she ever met(holds no punches apparently), she even had an affair with Elvis and God knows who else...
If your looking for a celebrity autobiography, this is my recommendation.
The book is called "Cybil Disobedience"

Mein Kampf isn't as much of an autobiography as it is a manifesto.
I recommend Benjamin Franklin's. It's incredible.

A Young Man's Passage - Julian Clary. This is a very witty book where Julian looks at his life up to around 35 when he scandalised many at the Comedy Awards. He seems like a genuinely decent soul and one worth getting to know. Good book.

"Malcolm X (as told by Alex Haley)".
"Get in the van" by Henry Rollins is not an autobiography but it does cover a good portion of his life. It has pictures of the punk band Black Flag as well.
