I was doing my laundry and I was using Clorox 2 for colors, but it wasn't foaming like other detergents (Tide, All). I followed the directions and put just as much as it said, but it just wasn't foaming. Is it supposed to foam, or not?

Exactly! I thought it wasn't gonna clean my clothes or something! Well I'll find out in an hour!

I know it's a detergent booster, but everyone I know uses it alone and it works just like detergent!

Well I got the clothes, and they are clean! So it does act somewhat as a detergent, but still is a detergent BOOSTER. Thanks all you guys!

Sorry it took so long to figure out it was a booster and not a stand alone detergent...but I'm glad it worked out for you. Sheesh it took forever for us to convince my sister in law that fabric softner does not replace detergent...she just could never figure out why she wasn't getting any of the stains out of her clothes.

Clorox 2 is a color safe bleach, not a detergent. It's more like a detergent booster. You add it to the wash WITH a detergent like Tide or ALL.

Clorox 2, like Clorox, is meant to be used in addition to your detergent, not in place of it. Therefore, it will not foam, just as Clorox will not foam. It is meant to whiten your clothes and get rid of stains, not clean your clothes like detergent. From the Clorox website:

"When you need to brighten your brights and whiten your whites, you can count on Clorox 2® Bleach for Colors. It cleans better than detergent alone, brightening colors and removing tough stains** for the purest clean. Clorox 2® Bleach for Colors is specially formulated to be safe on colors and fabrics."

Sorry about that -- you were misled, I guess.

It is not supossed to foam. It isn't a detergent. It is just to help your detergent work better.

Do you mean get suds? Clorox 2 is a bleach not a detergent and bleach does not make suds.
