Well you are a bit crude in you phrasing but I agree whole heatedly with your statement. I am so tired of having to be careful about what words I use to describe people. . .Let's see here is it Indian or Native American this week?

Yeah, pretty much. To show how meaningless the term is, consider that in 1930s Germany, you were politically correct if you followed the National Socialist party. Why did that example come to mind? Maybe because so many left-wingers throw it around here so much...

Given how careful Republicans must be in this day and age to avoid coming off as crass and hateful(reformation of the GOP's conventions began after Pat Buchanon's grizzly 1992 right-wing cultural speech)the term "politically correct" isnt.It applies mostly to avoiding controversy(becasue of lawsuits),which has become controversial in itself.

"Politically correct" is a verbal term or action that is uttered or taken and is designed to be inoffensive to persons, ethnic groups or other Countries. Basically, a neutral utterance or action.
