My son got cleated with a metal spike at the beginning of a cross country meet and ran the whole race with blood streaming from his ankle, but still placed 3rd out of 100+ boys. He's hard core!
No permanent damage though.

Deep bruises and one a bone bruises (in the foot) Metal cleat can cut as well. All my injuries were due to metal cleats.

Depends on who's wearing those cleats. If an OL or DL, then you'll be hurt pretty bad, but a corner or receiver, not as bad.

Yes, playing football in high school. A player trod on my forearm. Luckily, the bone didn't break, but I had deep bruising that lasted for several weeks, and I had trouble flexing my hand for about a week.

all i've had were bruises but a QB of mine that ive played with for 8 years tore his acl as a sophomore in highschool last season during one of our games from getting the back of his knee stepped on.
