I maintain a discreet distance from most people with personal information about myself, up to and including feelings. This is because people can and will damage you with personal information given half a chance. But with people I love or am very close to, I try to share my feelings for two important reasons:(1) Staying closed off is damaging to a person emotionally and physiologically. And gaining fresh perspectives from people I trust ensures my thinking process is in tact. (2) People who go too long being closed off emotionally become incapable of sustaining relationships, even when they really want to. I hope this is a useful perspective for you.

Well, I seem to keep my feelings bottled up.... but let me tell you, it is not the right thing to do. When you keep your feelings all bottled up and don't tell anyone what you are thinking or feeling, then you tend to sometimes feel depressed or lonely. When my uncle died a year ago on August 1, 2005, I was devastated. I didn't tell anyone the way I felt about what happened and then about a month or two later, me and my sister got into a fight and I said a lot of mean things that I didn't mean to say about her. Later that night, I cried myself to sleep knowing that why I said that was because od the loss of my uncle. I talked to my mom about my uncle the day after that and I felt much better. After that happened, I just started to tell what I was feeling and it was a lot easier. Let your feelings out and let people know what you are feeling and you will feel much better inside!

It depends on what feelings and situation it is. feelings when shared will make me light. DO NOT SHARE WHAT YOU FEEL WILL GET YOU IN TROUBLE !
In sway of emotions mind does not work! Before sharing think twice or postpone it, you will be clear when brain starts working.

If you don't have anyone you can share them with, it can get you in even more trouble.
