All they could have gotten for him would be two kegs of beer and a sleeve of plastic cups.

Well you may be a Red Sox fan but you as always have a shitty attitude!!!I think that Boomer is definatly no longer as good as he once was, but at the same time I do not think they would have been able to trade him and get anyone better, not with his age or his salary.Lets pray for Wakefield to make a quick recovery!!!!

What do you think the Red Sox would get for him? Maybe Minnesota will give up Santana and Liriano for Wells.
When a player is old and crappy, there isn't much of a trade market for them.

I think that within the next couple of starts Wells will win a few games.
They should have tried to get rid of Matt Clement that dude really sucks worse then Wells

What would they have got for him? Who would want him at his age and his salary? They should just cut him and Jason Johnson, or see if they can get some buckets of baseballs and pay some of their salary for another team to take them. Maybe the Yankees would have taken him to come out of the bullpen.

i hate him so much. its hard for me to watch a game when hes on the mound. and i have never been happy to see a play get injured other than when he went on the DL. i wish we could have got a bucket of balls for him but unfortunately hes not worth that. So i guess he just stay here but sit the bench cause hes one of those guys i love to hate, when the camera focuses on him i get so mad but its kind of entertaining.

i do admit he isnt the best pitcher the world has ever known, but i still dont think they should have traded him, i mean he was the one who..."helped" to bring us to the winning series in '04

He should be waived. No one would want him or his beer belly. Nice last game.
