I always thought dogs were better until I got my own cat. But now I am definitely a cat person.

Both are good but depending on your personality will help deciding whether someone would get along better with a cat or a dog. I like cats because they are independant. When you see a cat walking down on the sidewalk, the cat will more likely run away from you. If you see a dog on the sidewalk, the dog will either start following you and clinging or bark at you and chase you. A cat wont chase you. A cat doesn't have this loud annoying bark. Cats are litter trained while dogs will just take a crap on the floor and if the dog is trained then you will just have to wake up at 3 in the morning to take your dog a walk because it is barking to go to the bathroom. You wont ever have to worry about getting sued because your cat attacked someone but if you can if your dog does. You have to take dogs a bath while cats bathe themself. You have to earn a cat's affection and they have a mind of their own. Dog's take orders while cats do what they want. Someone might want a dog if they feel lonely. Dogs can make really good companionship but so can cats. You don't have to worry about cats too much. All they do is sleep all day. I like both but a cat suits me better.

Cats and Dogs? OBVIOUSLY, dogs are better. EVERYONE knows that. Let's go over the reasons why.

Some well known cat owners include Saddam Hussein, Adolph Hitler, Mike Tyson and Martha Stewart. Well known dog owners? None other than Mother Theresa, Billy Graham, Martin Luther King, and even Jesus! Yes, even Jesus, son of God. How can you not like dogs better than cats when Jesus had one?

Dogs defend people:

Have you heard of guard dogs? Don't you feel safer with a dog in the home? Even little dogs bark if someone tries to break in to give you a warning. Dogs = safety. What about cats? Did you ever see that Stephen King movie, "Cat's Eye"? In it, some people say cats steal people's breath. Is that what you want? To be sleeping and have some cat STEAL YOUR BREATH!?! What about man eating tigers? Have you heard of them? Do you want to be eaten by some species of cat?

Cats and dogs on TV:

Let's say you are stuck in the woods. Your leg is caught in a bear trap. You're trapped. It's getting dark. No one knows where you are. Wouldn't you want to have a dependable border collie like Lassie getting you help? Here's an animal that has hundreds of episodes worth of lifesaving experience. Basically all he did ever week was get his owner Timmy out of jams. This is like a day at the beach for Lassie. Or would you rather have Morris the cat help you?

Dogs are known as "Man's Best Friend":

Do you know how long and hard they had to work to earn that title? There have literally been millions of species of animals, birds, insects, etc and yet dogs got the nod out of all of them. That's right, while cats were peeing on people's rugs, scratching up their furniture, and ignoring people when they call them dogs were working overtime. They were fetching papers, acting happy to see their masters, and wagging their tails every time someone even LOOKED in their directions. They've earned it!

So would you rather have a loyal, caring pet, an animal that has worked for more than 2 millenia to earn the title of man's best friend? Choose for the dogs

You know I always thought cats were better until I got my own dog. But now I am definitely just an animal lover in general.

Dogs are better! Obviously! Dogs are more loving than cats are. Some people think cats are better because you don t have to take them on walks, but I love taking my dog on walks! It gives you both exersice and fresh air! Plus dogs are more entergetic and they are sweeter. I ve never seen a cat jump up and down on an owners leg licking them a bunch of times. Some people think cats are better because they can be left alone longer. If you wanted to be away from them all the time, why did you buy a pet?!🐱 Vs.🐶 Equals 🐶 Are better all the way!!!!!!!

I love all animals, however I have a cat, so I guess that makes me a cat person. In general I'm really a cat person, but my dad is blind and his seeing eye dog rocks! If my fiance and I had a bigger place we would take the dog when my dad has to retire him next year. I really just love animals... Whenever someone takes on the responsibility of pet partnership (I don't think one can really "own" a living thing) they just fall in love with that animal. I know I do, anyway, but that's just me.

I love both, but I'm really more of a cat person. I like the fact that cats are more independent (like me). They each have their own distinct personality. I've never had 2 cats that were just alike. They can be just as loving as dogs, (just on their own terms) but they're perfectly OK with being left alone.

Depends on what you like to do. I love animals and used to have both. I am a busy person now so I don't have the time to devote to a dog, so 2 cats for me. They are a lot of fun, keep each other company and enjoy life...lol
