We just hired a guy who wears a fanny pack to work (in an office building) what the hell is he thinking

Fanny packs are one of my many sworn mortal enemies, including others such as bike helmets, roller skates, mini coopers, small dogs, rich chocolate, the entire state of idaho, soul music, fat men who play the tuba, movies where people act like someone else, guys in flip flops, the hot dog vendor on 17th street (I know where you work!), taxi drivers in singapore, anyone with the title of duchess (including pets), Hula skirts on men, slow drivers, and last but not least songs with titles that are more creative than the lyrical content.
So yes I agree with you, I dont much care for them either.

Although i wouldn't wear them, fanny packs are a very convenient way of carrying things. No need to hold anything or worry about someone grabbing it out of your hands.
In an office building: hell if I know.... same as above?
Don't get me wrong; I'd take a purse any day.

I think a fanny pack is something of need more than style I wear one and think it works great especially in the summertime when you dont have a coat with big pockets to carry everything in.so I will go with need and who cares about whats in style I say.

Its so sad to see some people worry about such menial things. Why is it a big deal he does wear a fanny pack. Maybe he has a medical issue and has to keep his supplies near him? Maybe he thinks sitting on his wallet is uncomfortable? What ever his reason, he has decided that the pros of wearing one out weighs the cons.

I think that fanny packs r so stupid looking. They should find something else to hold their things in because a fanny pack is totally not the way to go!!!

fanny packs are horribly out of style and make you look like a re-re, but they are convenient. they are ok for 1) people making change at a yard sale or a bake sale, and 2) people from other countries on vacation at an American amusement park. beyond that, no. maybe he's thinking of the convenience of being able to carry things with him without thinking or maybe even caring about how outdated he looks.

Actually, even though you think Fanny packs are "yuck", let me tell you that it's easier on the back than a heavy back pack or even a heavy purse.

I agree and why do they insist on wearing them in the front? There is a reason that they are called fanny packs.

It is the most convenient way to pack in the summer.

Because it's convenient and he is an individual and does not care about fashion. You on the other hand have to follow everybody else like a pack mule and allow others to influence what you think and wear. Dummy!
