I don't know anything about web building (but I'm kind of computer savvy - and if children do this, so can I).

I have both programs, Dreamweaver MX and Flash MX. I need to build a website that has a slide show, animated buttons, some sounds on the buttons, and I need to be able to sell my photography online. I'm not sure if I have to start with Dreamweaver and then add Flash sections to it, or if it all needs to be done in Flash, or if I use Flash and then add things I created in Dreamweaver. I'm confused. I also have Photoshop and IView media Pro to handle my photo files. I'm going to check out a few books from the library to start learning, but I haven't seen any explaining how to use different programs together - and with which one I should start.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You only create slide show on Flash. Because, flash is animating software but Dreamweaver is website builder.

Before you to create slide show, you must know flash.

Search the word in google like this,

flash slide show tutorials.

You can actually use Adobe Photoshop CS@ to make your slide Show. Here is How:

if you go into the file menu there is an option for "automate" (file>automate) there you can create a slideshow in various formats, including straight HTML or more elaboratly in flash. It will ask you waht size you want for the images, and various settings you can use and then will generate all the code for you. You can then take the existing page that it creates and link directly to it, or you can take the .SWF file and pluck it directly into your webpage. It's really fun and convinient. Flash is really tough to use if you are not familliar with it, and a slideshow project is a big one to do in flash.

Hope that helps

Yeah. Use both together. I suggest getting a book on Dreamweaver to help you out. It's not complicated if you know how to do it, but it's REALLY hard if you just fiddle around with it and try to figure it out alone. Good Luck!
